I made this game as an entry to the TIG Source forums "Text the Halls" competition, where the idea was to make a text adventure (also known as IF or interactive fiction) with a winter/christmas theme, and I just couldn't resist joining in.

I used to love playing those types of games on my Commodore 64 back in the old days, and I started writing several of my own as well, but I never really got very far on them. So for this competition, I decided to make a Commodore 64 style text adventure, and I've tried to give it an authentic look, using the same colors, font and resolutions as an actual C64. It's done in C++ using my Pixie Game Engine though, so it's not actually a real C64 game. But it looks and sounds like it is :D Big thanks to Patrik Karvonen for the excellent music!

I've even managed to capture the feeling of frustration associated with oldschool text adventures... Hmm, how will you get your hands on a weapon...
